Meeting Minutes
April 14, 2012
Lundy Building, South Williamsport, PA
State Coordinator Glen Fiebig called the meeting to order at 12:05 p.m.
Roll call was taken by sign in sheet.
Districts represented: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17,
18, 19, 20, 21, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, 31 and 32. Absentee ballot
proxy was presented John Berti representing Districts 16 and 31.
Don Soucy, East Region Director and Sam Ranck, League Development
Manager, were also present.
Glen asked for a moment of
silence in remembrance of John Rupp.
Motion to approve the meeting minutes of October 15, 2011 was made by District
9. Second by District 26.
Motion passed.
Motion to approve the finance report dated April 14, 2012 was made by District
17. Second by District 12.

OLD BUSINESS

PRESENTATION
Sam Ranck gave a presentation on league development and retention.
The presentation is posted on the state web site.

NEW BUSINESS
Bat Specification:
District 1 raised the question concerning what specifically determined
made a bat composite for following the rule for bats that can be used for Junior
League Baseball. It was clarified
that the barrel composition determines what the bat is.
For instance, an bat with a composite handle but an aluminum or alloy
barrel is considered aluminum and would need the BBCOR label as required for
composite bats.
Junior League Baseball State Tournament Location:
Because Section 8 was unable to find a host league for this tournament it was
released for any district. District
25 expressed interest. Since no
other Districts expressed interest, it was given to District 25.
The tournament will be hosted by Cranberry Little League.
It was also announce that District 14 will be hosting the 9 & 10 Year Old
Baseball State Tournament for Section 7.
Next meeting date is scheduled for October 20, 2012.

Motion to adjourn was made by District 13.
